Crawling Pests Have a Way of Making Themselves at Home

Ants in the pantry. Spiders in the garage. Roaches under the sink. Earwigs around the patio. When crawling insects show up, the problem usually goes beyond annoyance fast. They get into food, hide in dark corners, multiply out of sight, and make your home or business feel like it is no longer fully yours.

At Pest Control Center, we help homeowners and businesses with crawling insect control in Sacramento, CA and surrounding areas. We inspect where pests are nesting, how they are getting in, and what conditions are helping them stick around so we can treat the problem at the source.

In Sacramento, that often means dealing with pests drawn to irrigation, shaded landscaping, warm attics and garages, foundation cracks, and moisture around kitchens, bathrooms, and exterior walls.

Common Crawling Insects We Treat in Sacramento

🐜 Ants

Ants rarely show up alone. Once they find food or water, they leave scent trails that can bring the whole colony with them. In Sacramento homes, ants often become active around kitchens, bathrooms, foundations, patios, and irrigation-heavy landscaping.

We identify the ant type, find where activity is starting, and treat the colony and entry points, not just the trail you can see.

Common around: kitchens, baseboards, driveways, garden edges, and slab foundations.

🕷 Spiders

Most spiders are more nuisance than danger, but that does not make them welcome. In Sacramento, spiders often settle into garages, eaves, sheds, storage areas, and quiet corners where other insects are already active.

Our treatments target active spider areas, webs, harborages, and the insect activity that may be attracting them in the first place.

Common around: garages, attics, door frames, patio covers, and exterior lighting.

🪳 Cockroaches

Roaches are tough, fast, and built to stay hidden. They thrive in warm, damp places and can spread bacteria through kitchens, bathrooms, break rooms, and utility areas. If you are seeing roaches during the day, there is a good chance the infestation is already established.

We treat German and Turkestan cockroaches with targeted service designed to reduce active populations and help keep them from coming back.

Common around: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, garages, and commercial food spaces.

🛏 Bed Bugs

Bed bugs are expert hitchhikers that hide in mattresses, bed frames, furniture, and nearby cracks and crevices. They do not care if a space is clean. They care if people are there.

If you are waking up with bites or finding suspicious spotting near bedding, we can inspect and recommend the right treatment plan.

🐶 Fleas

Fleas can take over quickly, especially in homes with pets or yards where animals spend a lot of time. In Sacramento, fleas often get worse during warmer stretches and can linger in carpets, pet bedding, shaded soil, and upholstered furniture.

We provide interior and exterior treatments that target fleas across multiple life stages.

Common around: pet resting areas, carpets, rugs, shady yards, and baseboards.

🧂 Pantry Pests

Moths, beetles, and other pantry pests can infest dry food products and spread quietly through stored goods. By the time you spot them, they may already be in multiple containers.

We identify the source, treat the infestation, and help you stop the cycle before it spreads further through the kitchen or storage area.

𓆨 Earwigs

Earwigs are one of those pests Sacramento homeowners tend to notice all at once. They hide in damp, shaded areas during the day and come out at night around mulch, flower beds, patio edges, and irrigated landscaping. Once conditions are right, they often start showing up in garages, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and along baseboards.

While earwigs are not usually dangerous, they can become a real nuisance when their numbers climb. We treat the areas where they gather, reduce conducive moisture conditions, and help block off the pathways bringing them indoors.

Common around: mulch beds, under pots, irrigation zones, garages, and bathrooms.

𓆨 Centipedes & Millipedes

Centipedes and millipedes are usually drawn to moisture, cool hiding spots, and dense ground cover. In Sacramento, they often turn up after irrigation, around foundation edges, in crawlspaces, under debris, and inside garages or lower-level rooms.

Millipedes are mostly nuisance pests, while centipedes can be more unsettling because of how fast they move and where they hide. Either way, if they are showing up inside, it usually means outdoor conditions are pushing them closer to the structure. We treat active areas, identify moisture-heavy zones, and help reduce the conditions that attract them.

Common around: foundation lines, crawlspaces, garages, mulch, leaf litter, and damp storage areas.

𓆨 Springtails

Springtails are tiny moisture-loving pests that often show up around sinks, tubs, window sills, potted plants, and damp exterior areas. Many people in Sacramento mistake them for fleas because they jump, but springtails are usually tied to excess moisture, overwatering, or damp organic material, not pets.

If you are seeing large numbers of tiny jumping insects, there is usually a moisture issue helping them thrive. We treat the infestation and help identify where the damp conditions are starting so the problem does not keep cycling back.

Common around: bathrooms, kitchens, window tracks, potted plants, irrigation-heavy areas, and damp exterior walls.
